Here is why you may not be getting website clients

This past weekend, my family and I had a valuable experience at a local farm that hosted an Easter egg hunt event.

Picture this: a bunch of excited kids eagerly awaiting the countdown to start hunting for eggs.

But amidst the chaos, my son and daughter hung back, feeling shy and uncomfortable.

As parents, my wife and I encouraged them to join in, but it didn’t work.

At the end of the craziness, my son looked at me with an empty basket and started crying because he didn’t get a single egg.

So, I knelt down and had a heart-to-heart with my son. I began to explain what had just happened by pointing out different scenarios unfolding before us.

I pointed to a little girl with a basket full of eggs and said, “See her? She’s like a millionaire. She took massive action and got hers!”

Then, I pointed to a parent taking away the extra eggs from a child’s overflowing basket.

“See that right there, son? That’s like a tax collector taking a little from the top. This is how we pay our dues.”

I then pointed to another parent who was redistributing her child’s eggs among those kids who got a few.

“That is called socialism,”

I explained, “where some people want to make things equal for everyone. Some are for it, some are not.”

All of a sudden, the “millionaire” girl’s parent came and put two eggs in my son’s basket.

We said thanks, I grabbed the two eggs and said, “And this right here, son, is called charity.”

“Now, here are two choices you can make…

You can either sit back and not get any eggs, or you can take massive action to get a bunch of eggs, knowing that you are going to have to give some away…

Some people may not even want you to have all the eggs, but you can get the opportunity to give to others and make a difference.”

The lesson? If you want something in life, you have to go for it.

Sitting back and letting fear or anxiety hold you back won’t get you anywhere.

And that’s a principle that applies not just to Easter egg hunts but also to life and business.

In fact, there is an abundance of potential clients out there, just waiting to be found, much like Easter eggs scattered everywhere.

Just as I encouraged my kids to go after what they want, the same goes for getting clients for your web design business.

If you’re unsure how to go about it, be resourceful, figure it out, and master the art of getting clients. Trust me, once you do, your life will never be the same.

This first principle has allowed me to take care of my family for over a decade as an entrepreneur.
